If it's about some sort of debt/loan/ etc... well, those things would fall under more of a 'civil' type of legal and should it pertain to some sort of default on such then there would be legal things that a debt collector could do to try to recover the money but still, it would be a civil matter NOT a criminal matter so there would be no jailtime for default on a debt.
