No they can't. They are known to carry diseases in their own bodies but studies show they have never caused or transferred a human disease (or death). Worst that will happen is extremely itchy swollen red bumps that can remain slightly itchy after the bite subsides. I would worry more about Mosquitos

No, bed bugs only eat the dead skin that comes from your body onto the mattress and pillowcases. If you have bedbugs there might be a special chemical that you could use that would expel any bedbugs from your bed. Even washing your sheets and pillowcases constantly it wouldn't get rid of the bedbugs.

well i did some research and this is what i came up with,,,,,,pediculushumanus humanus AKA bed bugs....it has killed millions of humans over the years ,they were responsible for decemating napoleons grand army . they can give u epidemic typhus ,trans fever and relapsing fever,
