I went ahead and experimented by doing a "steak day" during the 2nd phase of the program. I had hit a plateau of 4 days without any loss. I did an apple day...nothing. So out of desperation I tried a "steak day":

I took my shots as regular. Drank 2 liters of water as usual. And did not eat until 7:00 pm. I Grilled a large steak with just salt and pepper and cut off all the fat. I also had 1 apple. The next day I had only lost 1 lb. *Grumble*

So yes, you can do a steak day, it didn't "mess up" my loss, but it also didn't help me lose as much as it claims during "phase 3". Honestly, all I wanted it to do was get my weight loss back on track so I am satisfied.
