Transfer paper is a special type of transfer paper. The main use for transfer paper is on clothing/fabric. You simply print a picture off your computer onto the transfer paper and then you put the picture on the material. Using an iron or heat press you go over top of the paper all over and the image magically transfers onto the fabric :)
transfer printing is where you colour a paper and transfer your pattern onto a piece of fabric using a heat press. :)
Paper is not a fabric.
lay plan is used to make things like clothes, teddy bears and so on... with lay plan you draw your templates on paper and pin it to the fabric in which you then cut round the paper!
Batik. You 'draw' onto the fabric with hot wax, dye the remaining fabric then melt the wax off again by sandwiching the fabric between two layers of really absorbant paper and ironing over it.
First you have to get a piece of paper and draw it out next you have to get some fabric and knit it together then try it out and if it is not that improved make some improvements and try it out again.

Mylar paper is used to make Mylar balloons and the transfer paper is used for to make transfer paper for teachers to use. Transfer paper is used to transfer an image from a picture to another object. The transferred image comes out with a clear or partially clear background.
As with all artwork, the time taken with the artwork determines if the work is good. Make your design on paper first. Sharpie markers are permanent and they don't come out, so it is worthwhile to finish your design on paper first and then copy it to the fabric. Remember that the colors will not be as bright on gray as on white paper, so adjust accordingly.
