Most places water pipes are at least 3 feet below the surface. It would take a cement truck to do anything to the pipe and that is probably not even enough. If you have a sprinkler system, those pipes are probably only 6 to 8 inches deep and would be damaged.
The Lawn Mower Starting And Cutting And Burning Everything
it works because water travels up the pipes then comes out of little holes in the pipes. and a mechanism moves the pipes
The salinity of sea water (Atlantic 3.1% or Pacific 3.3%) is great enough to seriously damage grass in a lawn.
The system is made up of a series of pipes and it is attached to a central water line. When the water is pressurized and allowed to flow through the pipes, it pushes the head of the sprinklers up and waters the lawn.
After a main water valve is closed the system's PVC pipes are still full of water and will drain to the lowest sprinkler head until the system is empty.
The goal in winterizing irrigation systems is to remove all the water, so that when the temperatures freeze the earth, the pipes will not burst from frozen water (which expands the pipes and bursts them). Blowing the water out from the system is key, as is turning off the master valve, so that no water can be pumped in. Often the local utility will 'turn off' the meter, too.
