Can you drive the ecto 1 in ghostbusters the video game?

There is exactly no way to drive it all you can do with the ecto is put ghosts in the super slammer (the big yellow light on the top of it) to trap ghosts in one second. you can only use the super slammer in the Times Square level in the first checkpoint and the second and the one where you have to trap the Opera singer ghosts. in further points from the Shadow of Stay puft checkpoint and beyond you cant use it. in fact you can'y use it in any of the further levels either
