If your car has an automatic transmission, there will be a short dipstick near the front (radiator side) of the transmission. With the transmission warmed up (go for a short drive), park on a level surface, and with the transmission in park or neutral and engine running, pull the dipstick out and check the fluid level against the markings on the dipstick.
The manual transmission doesn't have a dipstick . There will be a fill plug somewhere on the transmission underneath the car
No dipstick on the manual transmission , fluid level is checked underneath the car at the transmission fill plug

there's a yellow dipstick towards the drivers side of the car? that's the dipstick for transmission fluid
Transmission fluid is a very important fluid while maintaining a car. Transmission fluid can be low, and a car can drive a decent length without any problems. However, the distance is dependent on the shape and condition of the rest of the car.
Drive the car long enough to fully warm up the transmission. Put the car in "Park", engage the parking brake and allow the engine to idle. Remove the dipstick for the transmission and wipe it clean. Fully reinstall, then remove the dipstick. Note the level of fluid...should be between the "add" and "full" marks, not be dark or smell burnt.
To find the dipstick, look for a thin, plastic handle under the hood of the car. This is the transmission dipstick and can be used to check the fluid.

The automatic transmission on this car is a sealed unit. There is no dipstick, and no fliud maintenance schedule. The manual states it never needs to be changed.
