Why is melting of covered candle a physical change while burning of a candle wick a chemical change?

This is because a candle will change its whole form and stay that way, which is a physical outer change. And a candle wick only burns, it doesn't change it's appearance.

Why does the temperature become constant at the point of melting till the whole substance of a solid melted?

That happens because any heat that is added to that melting material will be used to cause further melting, until there is nothing left to melt, at which point the added heat can raise the temperature. A solid melts at its melting point; it does not get hotter than the melting point without melting, that's why it is the melting point.

Can you use food coloring to dye Easter eggs?

Yes, you can dye candles with food coloring. Let's assume the candle is already white. If it's in a container of glass, simply place the whole thing into hot water and wait for the candle to melt. Be careful not to allow water to mix with the melted wax. I find it easiest to pull out the wick while doing this. Put a few drops of whatever color you'd like into the melted wax and mix well. Place the wick back into the container and allow the wax to cool. cWhen solid, the whole candle will now be a different color than before. I wouldn't try this on a stick candle, as they don't have a container and the reshaping the candle will present it's own challenges.
