According to my mother which is culturally close to Native American traditions, you SHOULDN'T dye your hair because the color won't 'hold on' too well since your body, at the time of being sick and weak, does not produce the same amount of natural oils. However, that's only her theory, I don't believe her but everyone has different beliefs. Good luck.
