i dont think that it is recommended but from my personal experience i have had my tongue peirced for 8 years and never had any infections at all. i ate solid food the same day as i got my peircing and it was done at home with an ear peircing gun. i just replaced the earing with a barbell used for peircing your cartlidge. i just recommend you try eating a soft solid food and if it doesnt hurt and you feel comfortable with it than you must be ready to eat solids. just try it and see what you are comfortable with every one is different.
I recommend soups and soft foods. On the second day I could eat soft taco's so as long as it soft you can try it..
