You absolutely can. Any small bug it can eat.
ok, first of all, i love them. (praying mantis) there is two proper names for a praying mantis. Praying mantids or praying mantises. Personally, i think mantises is better!
Praying mantis' are predators, they actually pray on fellow insect usually smaller than them like crickets or lady bugs. Praying mantis's will even occasionally try to eat scorpions or lizards.
yes catching mantis is a fun educationally intriguing activity witch i love to do!
in bushes flowers and they love fields with tall grass!
yes praying mantises do eat Spiders. they eat crickets and any bu thats not to big.
I believe so, it eats leaves and other mantises -Probably not, considering it's a CARNIVOROUS bug, and only females eat other males after reproduction for a boost in health. The amount of stupidity about these bugs astounds me.
Mantids will usually eat anything that moves, but from my studies, ants are too small to justify the energy required to capture one. They would probably have a hard time holding it. I had a praying mantis that ate a lizard; the lizard was my pet and I never thought it would happen. This was before the days of computers so I couldn't simply Google the subject. They love crickets; I've actually fed them by hand. They don't have any interest in earthworms, at least mine didn't.
mantis will live in any area with lots of bugs and weeds. mantis love to climb and and adventure through plants. large fields with tall grass are a great place to look for mantis and mantis eggs!
The Praying Mantist can be found in most part of the world that have a mild winter and plenty of vegetation. They spend most of thier time in highly vegetated areas such as gardens, forest, and such. Hope I gave you a information on where Praying Mantist live! Bye-bye!
