some types of oatmeal
Dry measuring cup
at least 2 cup
Had a dog with dry skin issues also. Vet suggested oatmeal baths. Worked very well for her. Can find dog shampoos with oatmeal in it already.
1/2 cup of dry whole oatscooked in 1 cup of wateryields 3/4 cup of cooked oatmeal (6 1/2 ounces of cooked oatmeal)
colloidal oatmeal (oatmeal that has been ground into a fine powder, e.g. Aveeno) coats, soothes, stops itch and doesn't dry out the skin
There are lots of human foods you can feed wild birds, such as bread crumbs, sunflower seeds, chopped nuts and fruits (such as apples and pears), and raisins. I even have all types of birds that fly down to my dog's food bowl on the patio and eat the dry dog food, but the kinds with smaller pieces are much easier for them to eat. Anything that is raw and unprocessed is OK.
Hay is the most important, but they need pellets that have vitamin c, that have no sugar or molasses, and that has no salt. You can give them dry uncooked oatmeal every other day and a dry uncooked whole wheat noodle once a week. Do NOT GIVE THEM ANYTHING that HAS SUGAR IN IT! They might get diabetes if you do. The oatmeal and noodle are optional.
All dog breeds can safely eat and digest oatmeal.
i feed my baby rat with lots of fresh food like melons, berries and with some dry fruits like almonds, cashews and walnuts.i give them special treats like biscuits at some ocassions only.
