Yes. However it's not that easy due to the turbo versions electronics (if it's a 700 series turbo your after). But fully possible and has been done several times.
The diesel turbo can only fit on a Volvo 850 with a little fabrication.
Yes. The 740 and 940 are very similar and share many common parts.
Since the Volvo 400 series was co developed with Honda, you would be better looking at that model range for compatible parts.
Yes the engine will fit as well as the oringinal engine since they are block wise the same engine. Wireing how ever is a bit different as well as a few other items are located in different places. Try checking out this link for some very helpfull hints. http://forums.turbobricks.com/showthread.php?t=52466 Good luck with the upgrade. You are going to have 2 holes in the turbo block that the non-turbo didn't have. The oil feed line hole for the turbo and the oil return pipe hole for the turbo! The blocks are DIFFERENT
Yes. They are exactly the same as long as the newer wagon is also a 240 (not a 740). All 240 hoods are interchangeable from 1986 on.
yes they are identical cars but you must do a complete swap (engine ECU as well) Kyle
If they are square, YES!. If they are round, NO!. In 1989, Toyota did a mid year crossmember/engine mount change. The square ones will fit '86 to '89. The round ones will fit '89 to '92.
In general, a 1989 Volvo seat may fit in a 1983 Volvo, but there are several factors to consider, including the specific models and their mounting points. Volvo often used similar seat designs across different models and years, but the seat brackets and dimensions may vary. It's advisable to check the compatibility of the seat mounts and dimensions before attempting to install it. Custom modifications may be necessary to ensure a proper fit.
Yes, some starters from other Volvo models may fit a 1983 Volvo 240, particularly those from the same era, such as the Volvo 740 and 760. However, it's essential to check compatibility based on the engine and electrical specifications, as variations can exist. Always consult a parts catalog or a professional mechanic to ensure the starter matches your specific model.
YES THE DOORS OF 740'S AND 940'S ARE THE SAME, THE ONLY DIFERENCE RESIDE INTHE WINDOW PLUG WHICH IS DIFERENT BETWEEN YEARS, SO USE THE SAME YEARDONOR CAR OR JUST CUT THE HARNES AND CHANGE IT WITH THE ONE FROM YOUR CAR, THE 2 WIRES ARE THE SAME. GOOD LUCK.
Try to find a Volvo or Saab but you'd have to make your own flanges.
YES, it will fit all right, what changes is the engine to turbo to non turbo but all the bolt and guides will fit perfectly
