I believe they are 3/16"
Why would you want to replace all the brake lines? You can flush the entire system and install fresh DOT3 brake fluid. I can see no reason to replace all the brake lines. Why are you doing this? Unless your brake lines are rotted out or someone has cut them... there is no reason to replace all four lines.
The final model year for the Buick Century was 2005. The 2005 was equipped with 4-wheel disc ABS. There are multiple types of brake jobs needed for a vehicle. Basic brake work can involve replacing the front and or rear friction materials (pads). This job may or may not require the replacement or machining/turning of the brake rotors. Another aspect to a brake job will be the bleeding out and refilling the system with fresh DOT3 or DOT4 fluid. Brake overhauls are more costly and involve replacing hydraulic components such as the calipers, lines, master cylinders, and power brake boosters.
You Probably have air in your brake lines Or you may have low brake fluid. Mechanics can bleed the brake lines which will remove the air out of the lines. I do not recommend doing this yourself.
On top of gas tank.
Look along frame rail Follow fuel lines from tank
To do it yourself, 30 or 40 bucks, for someone else to do it 2-3 hundred. Its all about the labor, brake lines and fittings are cheap, but that job takes time to do.
Not much if you buy line in a 25 foot coil and bend it to fit then cut and flare the ends. I highly recommend the unkinkable polymer coated stuff that NAPA sells. It is worth 10 times the price easily.
If you buy preformed brake lines that fit without alterations you should expect to pay $375. If you bend and custom fit the lines yourself from stock stainless steel lines expect to pay about $175.
