hmm...we flat iron our dogs ears daily for dog shows. As long as you use a high quality iron and don't iron any skin, it's just fine. It does the same amount of damage to the hair follicles as flat ironing a person's hair. Why would you want to flat iron your dog's coat unless you were showing though? If you don't know what you're doing you could burn the dog
