4x4 Shift motor & clutch (30A)
According to the 2000 Lincoln Navigator Owner Guide : With engine oil filter change : ( 6.0 U.S. quarts of 5W-30 engine oil )
I was looking at the 2006 Lincoln Navigator owners manual and it does not show anything about it having an all wheel drive system It is either rear wheel drive or it has the ControlTrac 4x4 system ( 4x4 HIGH , 4x4 LOW , 2 wheel drive , automatic 4x4 positions ) I assume it is a rotary dial to use to select the positions but I couldn't find any drawings as to where it exactly is located in the dash ( most likely it is in the center stack area of the dash )
On a 1999 lincoln Navigator : If you are asking about the Control - Trac 4x4 system control dial : ( A4WD ) is Automatic 4 wheel drive , if the back wheels " slip " then some of the power is transferred to the front wheels
i have been searching for a proper kit that will fit a 98-02 Lincoln navigator 4x4 but i cant find a decent one that will lower it 4" max the most ive seen is a 1.5 or 2" which is not worth buying for me, so i bought a conversion kit for the rear and i was debating if anyone has cut the springs i am only planing on cutting about 3 coils or 2 max any help or advise will be great :)
My 1999 is averaging 12.7 right now with 97,000 miles on it. I am hoping that after the 100,000 mile tune up it will get better!
A 1998 Lincoln Navigator fuel tank holds ( 30.0 U.S. gallons ) 2 wheel drive ( 12 city / 16 highway ) 4X4 ( 11 city / 15 highway ) miles per U.S. gallon
I don't know about on a navigator...but on my 05 Town Car the unit is behind the glove box. Unscrew the glove box screws and the box will pull out, revealing the control board behind it. Since manufacturers tend not to reinvent the wheel with each model, the Navigator >might< have it's in the same place. Hope that helps, good luck!
