ofcourse you can. if you can freeze dry a cat or dog or even a bird. a rat is no difference, it might be easier to freeze dry a rat as it is smaller and has less fat to cut out. might be costly, but its defnitly something i would look into once my beautiful rats are busy dying. its a bit gross, but if i can keep it in a glass cabinet on display and not touching it, i think it will be okay.
