Sure you can. You can get a credit card if you have a credit score of zero. The thing is, some of them will ask you to have a secured credit card. Meaning, you give them for example, $300 and your credit available is for that amount. Or maybe you give them the $300 and you get it doubled in credit available making you have $600 available. I would suggest signing up for a few credit cards making sure of the annual fee and interest rates and if you get denied for the credit cards without them being secured, maybe try a secured card, it will help build up your creidt if you pay on time. But I have heard that you are better to get a secured card from a local bank, because sometimes if you get one out of state if will cause problems. Also, if you want the card for convience of getting stuff online etc., then you can get a prepaid credit card. I got one from Ace. They let you put however much money you want on the card and you don't pay interest on the money you use. If you go to buy something and you don't have enough money on your card, it don't penalize you like most regular credit cards. But if you are looking for real credit, I would just sign up for some cards, they say it's easier to get gas cards or dept store credit cards, such as a lowes card. They have books at the library telling you how to make your credit score go up. There is a lot to it. But I do know one thing, if you try to get a loan and you have a lot of people pull your credit report or score, and you end up not getting a loan in a specified amount of time, it will cause your credit score to go down. I don't know if it works the same way with credit card companies, but you may want to find out before you try for lots of cards then find out later that it caused your score to go down.

It can hurt in certain circumstances. It depends on the amount of loan and your current credit or debt to income ratio. It also can affect future purchases on credit. Please note, by co-signing a loan, you're taking liability ensuring payment. The bank looks at each one of these as a credit risk, and therefore will limit your purchasing power based on the amount of collateral you have in contrast to the amount of the loan, and your risk potential (or credit score). For instance, if you co-sign on for someone a $10K loan, but only have a yearly income of $40K and have no house, you're likely to NOT be able to qualify for a decent mortgage rate because of your debt to income ratio. Why? That debt is still your liability!
It depends on the loan and your current credit. Remember that by co-signing a loan, you're taking liability for the contract. The bank looks at each one of these as a credit risk, and therefore will limit your purchasing power based on the amount of collateral you have in contrast to the amount of the loan, and your risk potential (or credit score). For instance, if you co-sign on a sibling's $30K loan, but only have a yearly income of $40K and have no house, you're likely to NOT be able to qualify for a decent mortgage rate. To them, it's YOUR liability!
More than likely, you will be able to qualify for an FHA with 3.5% down. They don't focus much on your score versus other items such as your income which seems pretty decent. Good luck.
It depends on how big of a financial advisor you work for and whether or not you are Series 7 licensed. I work for an advisor who makes 7 figures before taxes and I am not Series 7 licensed but I make about 40k salary.
Ha! I can tell you from experience that it is possible. I had great credit but not a lot of it. As long as that's the case you will be ok. Id try a Credit Union, My score was just over 600 and I got a $40k loan no prob.
