I love the question. Many Catholic theologians over the centuries have debated what Heaven is like as it pertains to our human relationships. One opinion supported by many is that Jesus is the spouse of everyone in heaven. Theologically this makes sense because God is "male" (a.k.a. giver, or the source) and we are all "female" (a.k.a. receivers). That said, how would our relationships be with other people? The answer is, like very close family. The entire human race in heaven would be like that. This all said, the notion of a 'girlfriend' wouldn't have any place.
As a man, I was greatly troubled by this concept when I first read it. My gender (as for most males) is part of my identity. But, after brooding over this for a while, I realized that God wouldn't ever do anything to betray my identity. But don't take too much stock in this: Heaven is a big big mystery and no one really knows for sure.

Of course you can have a girlfriend in heaven. Everyone's version of heaven is different. I'm a Christian but God is bigger than Christianity.
