Most institutions use graduate students and students working on their B.S., but I am certain you can find some locations (private companies or volunteer-based organizations) that could use an extra hand in the lab. You might also try looking around for jobs in local or state government, particularly in those agencies that monitor the ecosystem. They can always use some extra bodies to slog through swamps and what-not collecting samples.

Don't expect anything fancy though. In the lab, an A.S. is about as good as a high school diploma, and you will be tasked with the most menial of labors.
