It always depends on the amount of credits you're taking. For instance, my friend took three classes that were 13 units. Although she had all A's, her GPA was around 3.89. &in order to get a 4.0, I'm pretty sure you need straight A's. My other friend who takes maximum amount of classes offered has had straight a's and one a- throughout his time there. His GPA is 3.99.
Yes, you can still get a 4.0 because as long as you have a 90% avg. for the class then it will considered an A no matter what. I currently have two A-'s and the rest A's and I have a 4.0 or higher (not completely sure at this point, might have changed). As long as they are honors or AP classes then you will get a 4.0 or higher. In my school, if you have an A- in a level 1 class then you will get a 4.0 in an honors class a 4.33 and in an AP class a 4.66. It's different in all school systems though, good luck!
I guess that it would be possible on a weighted GPA system. In that case, yes. On an unweighted 4 point system, no.
A 4.1 GPA is quite possible. One must get straight A's and atleast an A in an honors course (which is based off a 5.0 scale instead of 4)
2.5 GPA is an 80% because it is on a weighted scale. Anything from 0% to 59% is still a 0 GPA.
For colleges and universities that grade on a plus system, it would be a B+ average. For institutions that grade on a minus system, it would be an A-.
yeah
Most all colleges and universities require a 3.0 GPA at the graduate level to graduate.
That would be a challenge. Still, you can raise it significantly. Just do the best you can. However, over a 3.0 GPA is a respectable GPA.
No. A 79 average is 2.4 GPA. I just got accepted into Purdue and Indiana University Bloomington and I have an unweighted GPA of 3.54 and rising. However, GPA is not everything a college looks at; if you play sports or are involved in clubs and wrote a well written essay you could still be accepted with a lower GPA.
Yes, there are many colleges that have no grade requirements at all.
well lets just say there was a kid with a 3.8 and still didnt get into UF
I got a 17 on ACT and have a 2.0 GPA. will i still get in?
200000000000 gpa i like gummi bears
You will get it back as a semester GPA but never for your cumulative GPA. Let's say you get all A's next semester....you will have a 4.0 GPA for that semester but your cumulative GPA will be different. I suggest shooting for the highest grades possible because even though you won't get your 4.0 cumulative GPA back, you will raise your GPA above a 3.5.Also, do not be so down on yourself. A 3.5 GPA is still pretty good and after you graduate and start looking for jobs, GPA doesn't really matter at all. Get involved with clubs and honor societies....employers love that!
