The only way to get that information is from the Twitter people, it involves scanning and processing a lot of data. The tools and information you want are an income source. They are used by businesses to investigate and target revenue sources and twitter has no reason to give it away for free.

- If you have any business contact that uses the analytic tools, they might let you have access.
If you are lucky you may find a web site that mirrors twitter, not sure exactly how they would do that, and see if you can access what you need.

I'm a student doing research on usage of a single hashtag over time; I'm wondering if there is any way to get historical data (just numbers) on how many times the hashtag is used around a certain date each year. (I'm looking at one week per year since 2013.)
I've tried using many Twitter analytics tools thus far, and they all require me to pay expensive enterprise fees to access historical data -- However, I am not interested in any analytical tools offered by these programs, or the content of the tweets; I'm looking simply for the number of tweets using this hashtag per day over time.
Is this possible? Any advice would be appreciated!
