You'll have to do the math, but generally, if you add a good number of A's to the mix, your GPA will increase. Working hard is good, but working smart is better. Make sure you are completing and turning in all assignments, taking good notes (if the teacher keeps mentioning something, it is likely to be on the test) and, most importantly, do not let anything you do not understand slip by. Always be sure to ask for help or tutoring since it will save you time and grief.
If you mean a sophomore in high school, yes. BUT you have to now get your BUTT in gear if that is what you want to do. No more fooling around, cutting classes, not doing the homework, thinking all of this is "stupid", and not listening. Set your goal and do the work and you'll get into a college.
Absolutely! First of all, colleges will definitely look at how much you have improved over the years. If you do well on your SAT and have a decent overall GPA, you should have no problems getting in.
it depends on your gpa, and the standards of the specific usc. plus, records show that this year is the hardest year to get into a good college. but good luck!
Yes. Good luck and God Bless:)
Schools would rather see that you have brought your grades up from freshman year, rather than doing good freshman year, and doing poorly the rest of high school. So the answer is yes, but you do need to remember that admission is not just based on your GPA, it is also based on your tests scores.

It is not the world that is messed up, but the people who live in it. If there were no 'messed up' people, than the world would be nearly perfect.

Even if you messed up the first year of college, I feel that you should still attempt to advance yourself with a college career. Maybe at another college where you think you you can pursue a degree in search of a better career.
