It is possible to get pregnant in this way. As for the hyman....I was not born with one. Some women never experience the "virgin cherry". The hyman, if you are born with one, can rip during intercourse for the first time, or it can even rip years later. There is a possibilty that the hyman will actually stretch during intercourse and not tear until you give birth.(This happened to one of my friends) Depends on the person I guess. If you get semen anywhere near her vagina it is possible for the sperm to crawl up into her cervix. It is very unlikely and I don't know if it has been ever proven, but theoretically it can happen. A hymen is a thin piece of skin that obstructs the passage of the vagina. It is your virginity. It is about 5cms inside a female body and just makes the opening of the vagina smaller - it doesn't cover the whole area. Its purpose is to try and stop disease entering the womb of a female during the growing years of her life. During her first intercourse, this thin skin is torn which is why girls find it hurts the first time, and why they may bleed a little. Currently the vulgar term that young people use is "popping her cherry" as you are breaking something. The hymen may be torn before intercourse - current use of tampons can weaken or break the skin. Active girls (and especially those who ride horses) may also find their hymen is non-existant due to their activity.
