If you sign up for the site, you will be given a personal profile. This comes with settings. You can actually go into the settings and turn off the ads.

In a way. The Wikianswers website is part of the Answerscom family. The Answers website gives the reader referenced information from various sources whereas Wikianswers is a question and answer site in a wiki format. There are many wiki sites on the internet some of which are wiki Q&A sites that have names that are similar to Wikianswers.

No, although some of the contributors are very fake with their so-called credentials on the subjects they answer about.
