No. John 305 ........................ No, absolutely not. Cancer is a mutation of the cells in any body part of an animal or human. In some cases it is a cause of ionizing radiation exposure. Ionizing radiation is radiation emitted from a source which can damage cells in the body sometimes leading to mutations which eventually turn into tumorous organisms. Cancer IS NOT INFECTIOUS. You can not catch it from someone under any circumstances! it is impossible. _________________________________________________________ To a point you can. From contact? No. But studies have shown that some types of cancer can be hereditary, meaning it can pass down from parents to children. SO it is possible to get cancer through family genes, however, it is not spread from person to person like the flu or aids.

Yes, you can. It depends on what kind of sickness you have because they can all be caught in different ways. For example: You can get sick by someone with strep throat if they breathe on you, because the germs in their mouth will catch on to you. Yes, you can. Cancer is not contagious, so it won't spread from one person to another. However, some cancers, like cervical, liver, and throat cancer, can be caused by viruses that are spread from one person to another.

Cancer is not contagious. You cannot 'catch' cancer. Cancer results when a cell gets 'turned on' and starts to reproduce in an uncontrolled and abnormal way.

What statement best describe noncommunicable diseases?

You did not give us the choices, but a disease that is non-communicable is not contagious. That means you cannot catch it just by being in the same room with a person who has it. And although being infected with certain viruses may increase the risk of some types of cancer, cancer is not contagious; no one can "catch" cancer from another person.
