There are many different types of HPV. Low risk types that cause genital warts can NOT kill you whatsoever. The warts are growths that, although unsightly, will not harm you. They can cause complications during birth or through uncomfortable sex though if the person has large ones and they are left untreated.

High risk HPV is extremely dangerous. This is the form of the virus that causes Cervical cancer. Getting a pap smear regularly at your gynecologist can save your life by catching the virus before you develop cervical cancer. If found to have dysplasia or a graying of cervical tissue, there are operations that can be done to prevent the onslaught of the cancer from forming.

Yes, you can die if you get cancer from HPV. These are typically slower-moving cancers, though, so adequate screening lowers the risk of death.

Is throat cancer contagious?

No, throat cancer is not contagious. Throat cancer, like other forms of cancer, develops due to the uncontrolled growth of abnormal cells in the throat or surrounding areas. The primary factors contributing to throat cancer include smoking, excessive alcohol consumption, human papillomavirus (HPV) infection, and other environmental and genetic factors. Cancer itself is not a contagious disease because it does not result from the transmission of infectious agents like bacteria or viruses. It is a condition characterized by the abnormal growth and division of cells within the body. However, certain risk factors for throat cancer, such as HPV infection, can be spread through intimate contact, including sexual activity. HPV is a group of viruses that can infect the genital and throat areas, and some strains are associated with an increased risk of developing certain cancers, including throat cancer. It's important to note that while HPV is contagious, throat cancer itself is not. If you have concerns about throat cancer or its risk factors, it's advisable to consult with a healthcare professional who can provide information tailored to your specific situation and offer guidance on prevention and early detection.

Do some viruses cause cancer?

HPV is widely accepted as a cause of certain types of cancers, including cervical and some throat cancers. HPV is a sexually transmitted virus. Not all HPV types are thought to be "high risk" types. A "high risk" HPV is more likely to lead to cancer if left untreated. Currently most pap tests also include an HPV test. It is important to know that HPV is very common, but cervical cancer rates remain relatively low in the United States. With proper follow up and treatment from a medical professional, the chances of getting cervical cancer are low, even if HPV positive.

Is the throat disturbance will leads to throat cancer?

Throat disturbances alone do not necessarily lead to throat cancer. Throat disturbances, such as a sore throat or hoarseness, can be caused by various factors, including infections, allergies, smoking, or excessive vocal strain. However, some throat disturbances can be symptoms of throat cancer, so it's essential to pay attention to persistent or unusual symptoms and seek medical advice if you are concerned. Throat cancer, also known as laryngeal or pharyngeal cancer, is primarily linked to certain risk factors, including: Smoking: Tobacco use, including cigarettes and chewing tobacco, is one of the most significant risk factors for throat cancer. Alcohol: Heavy alcohol consumption can increase the risk of throat cancer, especially when combined with smoking. Human Papillomavirus (HPV): Some strains of HPV are associated with an increased risk of throat cancer, particularly in the oropharyngeal region. Age: Throat cancer is more common in older individuals. Gender: Men are more likely to develop throat cancer than women. Family history: A family history of throat cancer may increase the risk. Exposure to certain chemicals or irritants in the workplace: Occupational exposure to certain chemicals or fumes may raise the risk of throat cancer.
