Fourteen years old
You don't. You have to be 15 to get a permit and 16 for a license.
Driving permit? Gun permit? Building permit?
It depends how old you are, and what state you are in. In my state, yes, because the minimum age to work is fourteen, and typically people are fourteen at the end of middle school.
Nope ... most all states require the youth to have attained the age of 16 or 17 before being allowed to obtain their learners permit.
In Anchorage, Alaska you must be fourteen to get a drivers permit, and sixteen to legally drive by yourself.
Not legally. You can't get a worker's permit until you are fourteen (atl east that's the law in Virginia)
If you are only fourteen, there aren't many places that you can work. However, if you are not in it just for the money, there are a lot of places you can volunteer. But if it is the money that you are after, in some places, you can get a worker's permit. The only problem with this is that a lot of places won't hire a fourteen year old, especially in these economic times.
