You can get trust points on WikiAnswers by making many helpful edits and doing your best to make WikiAnswers a great Q&A site. When people see an answer you posted on a question, they have the option to "Recommend" you. When they do this, you receive a trust point.To earn trust point you have to answer questions. If the asker thinks your answer is good they will give you a trust point. Not all askers give trust points though. Good luck and keep answering!

All it depends on is how many people look at the answer in all of your Q:'s that you answerd and if they think that they trust it they might give you a trust point. For example if a person answers a Q: then there are like 100 people looking at that Q: and they trust you you might get like 100 Trust Points from each person that trusted you.
Why trust points are missing in your profile on wikianswers?
We are currently upgrading our user profiles to a include many more features, more badges, and more ways to recognize a user's contributions to the site. Because of this revamping, we had to put our Trust Point system on hold temporarily. Our new point system is a huge improvement, and it will be up and running soon.

Every registered user has the option to give out 1 trust point to any registered user, Supervisor or CA.So yes, why not give yourself a pat on the back? You can actually do it 2 times, once when you are logged in and once when you are logged out. But no more, or that will be cheating. And it won't allow you to have more, either.
