Can you subtract trust points? Currently, no. You can only add trust points by clicking to recommend a contributor. You cannot vote against someone. This is something we may add in the future, but for right now we want to keep things simple and see how it goes.

You can only recommend another contributor once because you already trust them - you shouldn't need to trust them more than you already do. This is also because it is to combat vandalism in Trust Points, as you can get a friend to trust you thousands of times so you can get thousands of trust points, and that isn't how you should earn trust points. Thus, only one recommendation per contributor.
Trust points that are given by contributors to a certain user for good contributions that that user has made. This is done in one of three ways:On the contributor's contributions page, click recommend contributor.On the contributor's bio page, click recommend.orUnderneath a question which the contributor has made the most recent change to the answer, click recommend contributor.

You'll have +1 contribution, which takes you closer to earning a badge: Contributor, Bronze Contributor, Silver Contributor, Gold Contributor, Platinum Contributor, Double Platinum Contributor, or Ruby Contributor. Also, you may earn trust points for answering a question.
No. Trust points are an indication of how trustworthy the contributions of the contributors of the website are. Higher the trust points, the more trustworthy the contributor is.
Trust Point "earn" other contributor's and readers' trust and respect for the quality answers you give.
It is when anohter member say to themself "That guy helped me so I will do something for him". It basically means that a guy can be trusted. Please contributor trust me. Also, recommended simply means that the post is popular
If you go onto a question that was answered by the contributor, at the bottom of the page you can recommend the contributor.Trust points can be given by clicking on recommend contributor next to the contributor's username, which can be found either on the contributor's contributions page or on any Q&A page where that contributor was the last to answer.
You look below the answer and click recommend contributor. Try it!
