I guess the minimum dosage if the pain is unbearable for the chicken, in all probabilities it should be avoided as there could be after effects on the chicken which invariably could affect the person/s having that or such chicken/s which have been injected with this drug! My personal opinion do not give .

∙ 11y agoYes, you can give Amoxicillin to chickens. I am now giving it to one one mine with bumblefoot (foot infection). The dosage is 5mg/lb. So, if you have the Amoxidrops and your chicken is 5 pounds, you give .5mL (one-half mL, NOT five mL), which= 25 mg. If you want to try to give pills, give one-half of a 50 mg pill once daily. One study said twice that is safe. I have been giving it for a few days now, ONCE a day, plus soaking the foot in diluted Nolvasan solution for about 10 minutes twice a day - can also use warm water and Epsom salt. She was quarantined for a few days when the foot was oozing and she was limping badly, but now the foot looks SO much better and she is running around the yard again!
