If they seem to laugh a lot during the conversation, it may be a sign of relaxation or tension. If you have told them you like them, it is a good thing that they are talking to you. It would be better if they approached first, this would show signs of attraction. Body language differs between all people. Some people are more open and not as nervous or insecure as some others. I guess it all depends on what kind of person they are; outgoing or not.
