Did you mean to ask "Can you go from activation energy tofree energy"?

The answer might be found in looking at the definition of the coefficient of performance (COP), which states something like this:

COP is the ratio of work or useful output (possibly free energy) to the amount of work or energy input (activation energy).

If the COP is greater than one, then more energy is being produced than is required to produce it. One might argue that there is no such thing as free energy if you have to work for it.

We are surrounded by free energy. Is the energy produced by a water wheel free? Is the energy produced by a wind turbine free? Is the electricity produced by a solar collector free? The energy is free for the collecting, but the method for collecting it has a cost of some kind.

Check wikipedia for "trompe". There is a theory that the Giza pyramid has an underground structure that was designed as a trompe.

What is activation energy and how does it relate to cell metabolism?

activation energy is the amount of energy that is required for a reaction to start. Enzymes lower activation energy allowing metabolism to go at increased rates.

What is the minimum amount of energy needed to start a chemical reaction?

activation energy ( I know it is right because it is in my science book)

What do you call the kinetic energy needed for molecules to chemically react?

The minimum amount of kinetic energy needed by the reactant molecules to react is the activation energy. If the energy of the reactants are less than that, they wont react.by increasing the temperature, the activation energy of reactants can be increased.

What is it called when energy is required to start a chemical reaction?

An exergonic reaction is activation energy (or energy of activation). An endergonic reaction is essentially the opposite of an exergonic reaction.

What are slowed reactions?

Chemical reactions that have high activation energy, with multiple intermediates and transitions states that have higher activation energy than the initial requirement, but which still have a negative Gibbs free energy change.

Is activation energy added or just there?

Activation energy is the amount of energy that should be gained by potential reactants, for a reaction to occur. A reaction can be occurred by reducing the activation energy of the reaction or increasing the activation energy of the reactants. Activation energy should be added.

What kind of energy do enzymes reduce?

activation energy activation energy

How can a reaction generally be made to go more quickly?

Lowering the activation energy, Adding a cataylst

What is the minimum energy required for molecules to react with each other called?

That is called the activation energy or energy of activation (Ea).

What does an enzyme do to the activation energy needed to start a chemical reaction?

Enzymes are catalysts, they reduce the activation energy.

What does the activation energy for a reaction represent?

Activation energy is the amount of energy needed to start a reaction.

What term is used to describe the minimum amount of energy required in order for a reaction to proceed?

This energy is called "energy of activation", it is used to overcame the energy barrier between reactants and products.
