Yes it can. When you hit her, you could accidentally bump her into hard surfaces that could harm the baby. Wether you hit her on any part of the body, physical and mental harm could be done, both to the mother and the unborn baby. Please, do not hit pregnant women.

Yes, that would be assault. You can't go around hitting people. If the baby was injured you might have to pay for that too. If you mean that the woman wanted it because she does not want the baby it would still be illegal. Some people think they can cause abortion that way so they don't have to see a doctor but apart from all the risks like bleeding to death and sterility, you are then performing a illegal abortion punishable with years in prison. If the woman agreed on it she would be found guilty as well.
