Actually if there are any such restrictions, it is an ecclesiastical thing done to prevent ( Church traffic) from getting overloaded or confused. Many churches have pre-established Mass schedules- always a regular line-up on Sundays- and having either Weddings or Funerals on Sunday would impose traffic hazards. It is okay to have weddings on Saturdays in my Church- as this does not clash with the Mass schedule. More a matter of traffic control than anything rheological.
