yes you will blow the seals out you need to pull vacum on the whole system and watch the guage on the vacum pump when you hit -40 to -50 then fill freon to +65 to +80
Yes you can have too much refrigerant in your A/C system and it will damage the system. The only way to know how much is in the system is to measure it by using a gauge.
Too much refrigerant can do it, yes. System pressures get extremely high on both sides of the AC system when it is overcharged.
depemds on the car as how much freon it will hold. some cars have a tag saying how much freon the car is filled with. Too much freon is just as bad as not enough freon.
Excessive freon may cause the compressor to"slug" (Seize)
There will be a sticker somewhere in the engine compartment that tells you how much to add. It is usually 8 oz with no other oil in the system. Be careful to ensure that your system is purged prior to reinserting. I added too much to my truck and now have to have the system purged to get the system balanced out. AC systems work on a very exacting amount of oil to freon ratio. Too much oil of not enough is not good for the system. Too much oil and the freon does not flash from a gas to a liquid properly, not enough oil and the compressor lifespan is shortened.
The system will take 30 ounces of R134a freon.............
take it to someone that can reclaim it
2-5lbs
You recharge an A/C system by adding freon through the Low side port. Look for the L on the cap. Never recharge on the high side. Too much pressure on this side and your freon can might explode. OK, once again it's not freon! it's R134a refrigerant that should be used to fill your car system. Many people call it freon but you need the r134a refrigerant( and oil, too). Anyway, freon cans are only available to certified mechanics in most states now.
my a/c sticker is gone under the hood.how much Freon goes in my system.1988 regular cab,v8?
yes, it will blow out your seals. causeing all the freon you just put in to leak out. yes
The amount of Freon you will need to recharge your air conditioning system is dependent upon how low the Freon level is. You should begin with a one pound bottle of Freon.
