Define what you mean by in space. If you mean outside the atmospheric level known as the mesosphere then the answer is kinda. You could, and should, attempt to expel the gasses within you while unprotected. You have about 9 seconds of conscious thought to do so. Then you pass out and maybe a minute and a half later you'll die.

Being in any self-contained environment would also allow you to burp. So if you go into space in a suit, a ship, a sealed car or plane, or a giant hamster ball then burp away.

Sound waves cannot travel through the vacuum of space, so you could only hear an explosion in space if it occurred within the same pressurized ship as you were inhabiting, so you really would not want to hear an explosion in space.

You can't hear anything if you in Outer Space since there are no air throughout the universe as we know of.

Best way to answer is:

If you in the middle of Outer Space, and a explosion occurs (anywhere), you will not be able to hear it, even if its point blank distance.

Why are we unable to hear sound in outer space?

There is no sound in outer space because space is a vacuum. Sound needs matter to travel through and vibrate in order for us to hear it. Air vibrates in our ears to make us hear sound. Since space has no air we wouldn't be able to hear anything.
