In single phase applications, you have two wires. One of these is "hot", meaning it has an AC voltage applied to it. The other is not - it is directly tied to ground or the system neutral. In three phase power, all three wires are "hot", and use the other wires as the return path under balanced conditions.

Because of this you cannot do what you are proposing and have a safe setup. Isolating only two of the three wires still leaves one "hot".

How do you wire a 2 pole 208volt motor switch?

The switch will have two termination points at the top or one side called the line side of the switch. The corresponding bottom or other side of the switch will be called the load side of the switch. Terminate the two wires from the distribution breaker to the line side of the two pole switch. Terminate the motor to the two terminals on the load side of the switch. On a motor switch there should be a place where an overload protection can be screwed in. Order the overload heater element to the sizing of the amperage on the motor's nameplate rating.

Wiper fuse location on 1977 dodge power wagon?

The head lights and windshield wipers are protected by a circuit breaker (no fuse required) Sorry I have know idea where the circuit breaker is, never looked for it. It might be that you're wiper motor is bad. I have never herd of a breaker going bad. To test it run a hot right from you're battery to the input on the wiper motor. It maybe the switch I have had them go bad. You can't just put a toggle switch on it because it is a two speed motor it will not work.

What size breaker is needed for a 125 hp motor?

It depends on what the amperage of the motor is. The motors amperage depends on the voltage of the motor. The higher the voltage the motor operates on the lower the amperage. So unless the amperage from the motor's nameplate is stated an answer can not be given.Just remember that the feeder capacity to the motor has to be 125% of the motors full load amperage and the breaker protecting the conductors to the motor has to be rated at 250% of the motors FLA. This higher breaker size allows the motor to start without tripping a normal size breaker that is rated for the lower conductor size.
