They are more likely to give hugs if you are upset and in the earlier stages of education such as 5years old until 10 years old. In my professional opinion, the older you are, the less likely they will give a hug.
they would only really give a hug if you are really upset, it would be very unprofessional for a teacher to just give free hugs.

∙ 12y agoFirstly, Have a GOOD relationship with the teacher. Possibly even they may be your favourite teacher. On special occasions buy them gift's, like for Christmas and easter ect. This will let the teacher know you like them as a teacher. After a while they may be fine with hugs, but with all the sexual abuse going on at the moment you need to hug them right. If its a man teacher and boy student hug, stand to one side and put your arms around eachothers shoulders and pat eachothers backs.
If its a Women teacher and a girl student hug, there are two ways, do it from the front, so simply put your arms around the teacher. Another way is to stand side to side at a bit of an angle and put eachothers arms just under the arms and hug.
If its an opposit genger teacher and student hug. Stand side to side, put your arms around eachother, (one arm) and make it last no longer than 20 secs, otherwise this could be taken in as Sexual.
