Probably not, the fuel system is way different, as well as the ECM programming.
I have a 1994 Grand Cherokee with a 1990 Cherokee 4.0 engine in it.. So i wuld have to say yes to your question.. ( i did not know it was from a 90 Cherokee until i had to buy some parts for oil change and none of the filters for a 94 would work.. :-)
