run the driver cable from the mult changer in the bot of the car, running it underneath the carpet and out at the dashboard. Use maskin tape to hold it in place underneath the carpet in the car. Connect the driver cable into the back of the head unit (radio part) abut ensure you have measued where your old stereo was in the dashboard to ensure the new stereo fits.
if i was to guess i would say behind the factory stereo, of maybe its the monsoon it could be on the factory amp.
How do you install an after market stereo in a 1989 acura legend?
You need face plate for a double din with a single din opening
Check with Crutchfield.com. They can provide step by step diagrams of how to install your new stereo.
In your center counsole, open it up and there is a black rectangle slide, slide that back and there it is, push the eject button and out pops your 6 disc CD changer.
Yes, there are universal cd changers sold
Crutchfield sells a kit that allows you to install a single din aftermarket stereo where the pocket under the A/C controls are located.
If it is an after market CD player. Which im guessing. You need to buy a $100 wiring harness. You'll be better off just finding a good cheap disk changer and installing it in the trunk.
Attached the wiring harness and the antenna cable to the back of your stereo. Slide the stereo into the stereo slot. Tighten the stereo with the stereo retaining screws.
