You can but it is not recommended. The old roofing sheets will promote corrosion under the new sheets. Far better to remove the old corrugated roofing first.

How do you add roll roofing under shingle roofing?

I am not sure if this question is worded correctly. 1) To add rolled roofing under shingles is not a recommended method of installation. What will work is to install a layer of Ice & Water Protection such as Grace Ice & Water Shield prior to the installation of your shingles. 2) If you meant to ask about installing rolled roofing over your shingles or installing shingles over your rolled roofing this is once again not recommended but is commonly done. You would first make sure the surface is level and remove all loose debris from existing roofing materials and or dirt, leaves, etc.. Just a quick clean up and sweep should be good. Then if the existing roofing materials are leaking I would recommend you either remove them and do this installation properly or at least install a layer of underlayment such as a heavy 30# felt paper or RoofTop Guard II over the existing materials. Then install the new materials following the manufacturers specifications. Once again this is not the recommended procedure and will void all manufacturers warranties.

What metal is used in roofing a house?

Metal roofing for houses can be made from a variety of metals, but the most common metals used for residential roofing include: Steel: Steel is a popular choice due to its durability and affordability. It is often coated with zinc or a zinc-aluminum alloy to prevent corrosion. Aluminum: Aluminum roofing is lightweight, corrosion-resistant, and well-suited for coastal or marine environments. It doesn't rust, making it a low-maintenance option. Copper: Copper is known for its distinctive appearance, which changes over time from a shiny reddish hue to a greenish patina. While it's a premium option, it's exceptionally long-lasting and weathers beautifully. Zinc: Zinc roofing is valued for its longevity and ability to develop a protective patina over time. It's often chosen for its unique aesthetics and sustainability.

What is more expensive metal roofing or clay tile roofing?

clay tile by a landslide. If you are looking to save money, I would go with metal roofing materials over clay tile.

Why are tiles the best use for roofing?

Traditional asphalt shingles are less costly but will eventually wear out depending on how thick they are and the severity of the climate in which they are utilized. Tile roofing materials are constructed of kiln fired clay tiles. They are highly resistant to fire and, short of having some space junk fall on your roof, they are practically indestructible. Though this type of roofing system is more expensive to install, the additional cost will be recovered over the life of the house.

How do you install roof panels on a home?

This depends on what type of roof panels you are trying to install. In general, you need to remove all of the nails and panels from the section that your are replacing. You then place roofing felt on the roof, making sure to nail it down. The panels go over the felt. Install them from left to right. http://www.ehow.com/how-does_4778280_installing-tin-roof-panels.html
