maybe
no the silver membership is free and you are already on it until you upgrade to gold but the silver membership is just like nothing you can't play anything on xbox live you can't download anything of the xbox live market place you can only talk to people
No you can't because you aren't connected to xbox live if it just expired and you are going on the free silver then you can download it you just can't play on xbox live with it.
Its free. Just create a gamertag. (remember: Gold is the one that lets you go on xbox live)

Yes, you can get game demos with just an Xbox LIVE Silver account, which is free.
When your Xbox live gold expires, your account will be silver. This means you have some features which you can access on Xbox live but not actually play online. Just buy a gold membership to go back online.
Xbox live will give you the best live gameplay where you can play with friends or just random people around the world. Also, xbox live will give you the latest content available for any game.
gold costs money. for silver all you can do is download MOST stuff. gold allows for online play and all downloads gold lets you chat, play online, and it's not free silver is just single player system link, and download free stuff
no, just the xbox(the black one) and the xbox360(the silver one)
Xbox Live Silver (Normal in your words) WILL work, but it'll be a bit dearer, by having Xbox Live Gold, it'll just be less expensive. It works perfectly on either Live and nothing changes except for the price. Yeah, it'll work
Yes if two accounts Live accounts are on the same console either recvered gamertag or just a different acoount made the person using the first controler just gets the hoepage displaying their info like friends and downloads
That's just how some people act on Xbox live, sometimes people don't act like that, and sometimes MANY people want to be a nuisance for others, I would recommend just reporting them to Microsoft and allowing them to deal with it.
