Don't, the hamster may need water or food and spending the whole night in the ball with no access to either is not good for them. They might dehydrate and become sick.
My hamster did the same. I know why. You need to let her run free for a while. She feels locked in a prison and she wants to run around for a bit. Buy a hamster ball and let her run around in it. This is so much more amusing than the television...
Syrian hamsters are the largest of the hamsters. Keep that in mind when purchasing the cage be it plastic, wire or glass. All other small animals such as mice and geribils may fit in a hamster cage .It really depends on the type of cage you have and are planning to buy.
If you have a short haired hamster like a Syrian then it cleans itself. If your hamster is long haired then you have to brush it depending on the length and thickness of its hair. Never bathe your hamster, they hate water and lick themselves to keep clean anyway.
Teddy bear hamster is another name for a syrian hamster. Syrian hamsters are very territorial and are the only type of hamster which needs to live alone. If put with another the chances are they will fight. If you wish to keep hamsters in pairs it is better to buy Russians or Chinese hamsters which are more compatible.
its a bad idea if you are not copable enough to handel them mmmm dont, just to be safe because it is possible that one may eat the other.
You can keep a female and male hamster together, but you must consider where you would home the babies if she has them.
Your hamster is probably bored so s/he is trying to escape. Try a run-about ball, or just try playing with your hamster more. = )
No, but during the daytime they sleep, at night, when its cool, then they wake.
Keep the cage away from direct sunlight in a room temp of 20 to 25 degrees or less quiet room away from children as they are nocturnal creatures come out to play at night. get them a ball to play in they like lots of exercise.

The number of pups in a litter may vary slightly depending on what type of hamster you keep. On average, the typical hamster will have somewhere between about 4-13 pups. Litters up to 30 have been recorded, although this is very rare.4-20 in a litter.
Well, I read somewhere that some hamsters will keep mice away. But then again, some hamsters are just plain friendly with the rodents! So if you are planning on getting a hamster to keep away mice, make sure you check with the owner that they are a breed that will keep mice away!
