You must move the furniture to get under the legs, wash curtains and throw rugs and put them in the dryer. Heat will kill them all. Clean out your closets and drawers on occasion and wash everything. Just being clean and regular vacuuming will ensure keeping the bugs in your carpet at bay. They also sell sticky traps specifically for these types of bugs too.
