Yes, but you must be sure to purge all traces of bleach from the tank before refilling it for the fish.

Convict Cichlid are quite aggressive and it is not a good idea to mix them with non-Cichlids as they will likely attack and kill them.

It may be possible. Just be sure to clean out any sand or dirt left over. When cleaning it, only use hot water. NOT DAWN SOAP! Or any soap for that matter. The enzymes in the soap could kill the fish or make them very sick. Good luck!
It is OK to use a detergent when cleaning (scrubbing) out a dirty fish tank. The important thing is to make very sure the tank is scrubbed with clean water a couple of times after the detergent has been rinsed out. Any detergent left in the tank could easily kill your fish.
In a Bowl!
Actually fish should never need to be removed from the tank when you're doing routine maintenance. If they have to be then you're over cleaning and/or your tank is too small! In a healthy established filtered tank you only need to do 20% water changes once a week, the fish stay put. Constantly netting them and moving them about causes extreme stress and can kill them. If your tank is unfiltered then it's not suitable for fish.

Ammonia is harmful to fish. Its is a by product of the nitrogen cycle, which is what keeps the water stable in your tank(i wont delve into that) but yes ammonia can burn fish, especially those who lack scale's.
