There are some tactics which are illegal (in the US) such as bait and switch, and most use of trickery in relation to a price is illegal. But if prices are clearly marked or the object is of a type that is often negotiated (collectables, cars, etc) there is nothing that directly stops different prices from being charged for a variety of reasons.
It's also common for volume and location to effect pricing of the same item.
