Check to see if there are a certain amount of days they consider being on campus to be a resident. Like out of seven days a week, maybe they only have to stay there m-f and on the weekends, stay at your place. You cant live on campus unless you attend there, too or they will kick them out, if they find out.
Yes you can by renting a more expensive room that isn't shared with a roomate they choose, you then have it for yourself and what you do with that room is up to you so than you can bring your partner in with you. if it's too expensive ask if you can share rooms with your partner but he/she must also pay their part of the accomodation fee while sharing the room with you.
Self catering accommodation in South Africa is graded by the Tourism Grading Council. This ensures that guests get an appropriate standard of accommodation. Luxury accommodation would be graded 4 or 5 star, whilst affordable self catering accommodation (such as ours) will be graded 3 star.
