This depends if you are lean or overweight mainly. Sit-ups are a bad form of abdominal exercise as they work your hip reflexors, not your stomach, crunches are better.
If you are lean- 5 ten minute sessions of crunches a day will give you a reasonable six pack in a month.
If you are overweight (just noticed you want to lode 50 pounds so most likely this one)- sit-ups burn virtually no calories whatsoever, so 10,000 a day for the rest of your life might manage it. Sorry my friend but that's not the way to do it. want to lose weight? Walk for 2 or three hours a day or play squash or swim or whatever exercise you prefer. Build this up to jogging when you feel ready. I am not a personal trainer but i do train my friends as a hobby. The girl I'm working with has lost 12 pounds in three weeks so far in a healthy way which did not involve cutting down on food.
Good luck!
NO, to lose weight you have to reduce your energy intake (less food) and increase your energy output (more activity). Lifting weights and doing abdo exercises (please don't do situps you will damage your back, do crunches) will make you look better as it will tone up flabby muscle but you need to do exercises that get you moving such as swimming, cycling, walking, running, even dancing, to lose the fat.
You can't in a day, but if you do it everyday for a month you can lose weight and gain muscle! Good luck!

The amount of calories you will burn doing jump jacks varies based on your size and the intensity at which you are jumping. An average 150 pound person jumping 60 minutes will burn 306 calories.
a jumping jack exercise is just when you do normal jumping jacks. my opinion would be to do 50-60 jumping jacks a day!!!
Bones used in jumping jacks will be the bones of the arms and legs. The extremities will move when jumping jacks are done.
The shoulders, the hips, the knees, and maybe ankles.
They are named for Jack Lalanne who popularized but did not invent the exercise.
