It is basically a group of people who sing songs with out instrumentals in the background. The instrument noises can be made with your voice, or none at all. If you were to watch a show like Sing off the groups on there are either all or mostly acapella. Also, if you watch glee, the Warblers are an all acapella group.
You can't download Garageband on a windows, it's a Macintosh application. Also, if you make music on it, exporting can only be done on a Macintosh. But of course, you buy a mac, you get garageband for free.

There are many reasons why GarageBand might be crashing. - First of all, you should make sure you have installed all the latest updates from Apple via Software. This will also update all of the iLife apps. - If you are using an external USB or Firewire audio interface, there may be a problem with the driver. Check with the manufacturer for driver updates, or try running Garageband without the interface with Built-in audio and see if it crashes. - Make sure you are not running other applications that may interfere with Garageband (ie. file sharing, VOIP, anti-virus software)
Usually they make CD's with just have the music the oerson singing it which means the song is in minus 1.
It's all through acapella. No music or instruments. Blaine (Darren Criss) sings lead. He's the one singing. All the Warbler songs are like that. Except when Kurt sings Blackbird. They use a CD thing for the music.
To get an internet song on garageband, all you hafta do is click on the picture of it if it has one then drag it into it. To better do this, go to music.com, click on a picture and drag it into garageband
Yes there is a GarageBand lookalike for Windows. It's not exactly like GarageBand, but it's as close as you can get because Apple will never make a GarageBand for Windows. The app you want is linked in the related links below, called Mixcraft. It includes many of the key features you'd expect from GarageBand, like loops, music creation, live instrument recording, an on-screen piano, and auto-tune. Windows also offers applications like Pro Tools, Sonar X1, FL Studio, Reason, Ableton Live, and others.
A basic mash up can be put together with iMovie and GarageBand. Use GarageBand's Enhance Tuning option (Limited to a key) to add an auto tune effect to the voices.
Make sure you're also editing the master track, as well as the track itself."Track info = Command + i "You can set it to piano, and change the sound, reverb, etc.
The track editor is used to make changes, or add effects to a track in your garageband project.
